Anyone know what's going on for opening night in LA on Wednesday 8/16? Are there expected to be speeches or special appearances?
I thought tickets were not generally available (and Lin auctioned some off on prizeo to accompany him to the opening). But now there are a bunch on StubHub, and the prices are *cheaper* than most other days.
What gives?

A bunch of tickets were made available to the Opening Night show in SF too. I assume they were saving a bunch of seats for bigshots, and not all of them are coming that night.

They released a bunch of rear and side mezz seats yesterday. My guess is that's where most of those came from.
As for special events - Aside from the live Ham4Ham, there will probably be a speech or two, but it's since the tour has already been up and running, I can't imagine it'll be too crazy.

I think there is a possibility of a post show speech. LA is a different beast sometimes from the Pantages. Obviously there will be red carpet and post VIP party.
Does anyone know any details for red carpet?
I imagine with the after party there won't be a lit of time for stage door.

Show time for opening night is 6:30, instead of the usual 8:00, so red carpet will be early in the evening. Is it usual for opening night to start early?
Expecting it will be a mad-house down there all day with Ham4Ham and in-person lottery.
Huge crowd for Ham4Ham. Hollywood Blvd. shut down.
