I have tickets for the matinee on Wednesday July 20th. I have been told that Lin Manuel Miranda generally does not do weekend matinee performances, but is there a general sense or rule of thumb on Wednesday matinees?
There's a good chance he won't even be in the show anymore by that date. If he were still in the cast, he usually performs Wednesday matinees.

He always does Wednesday matinees lol. It's Sunday matinees he doesn't' do but like the other person said he might not be in the show then.

Even if he's not in it, Javier Munoz is fantastic in the role. I hope you enjoy it either way.

Wow, appreciate the quick responses. Are there rumors or scuttlebutt on when he might be leaving the show? I saw the show a month after it opened. I'm taking my daughter this time who would really like to see him. My 1st Broadway show was Fiddler on the Roof with Zero Mostel. when I was a little kid. Over the decades I have seen many shows with understudies who have been awesome. That said, to me seeing the original performer is preferable.

Appreciate the link, but oh my, I'm amazed at the bickering and put downs of several of the posters on that thread Folks taking this stuff a tad too seriously. I was simply trying to get a feel on this. Whatever happens, I'm good. This is not life and death.
You, sir/ma'am/neither, are refreshing. Thank you.

When I received the text this morning informing me the lottery was open, there was an additional note that said, "Rumor has it that Lin-Manuel Miranda will leave Hamilton on July 9." I can only imagine ticket prices will skyrocket the closer it gets to that date.

Wait, they would actually include that and precede it with "rumor has it"?

I'm pretty sure the actual lottery doesn't send text messages...they must be referring to a different source.
They're talking about this app (eta: not associated with Hamilton and/or BroadwayDirect) that sends you notifications reminding you to enter the lotto:

Each day is a different cutesy show-related push notification, and "rumor has it that Lin-Manuel Miranda will leave Hamilton on July 9. The lottery is open." was today's.
Thanks for clarifying!
