Hamilton Understudies

I was fortunate enough to win the Hamilton lottery yesterday and see Javier Munoz (Javilton) AND Sydney James Harcourt go on as Hamilton and Burr, respectively [Yes, I know Javi is scheduled to go on every week]. Both were fantastic, with different takes on the role than Miranda and Odom. The crowd was behind both completely, and in the few times I've seen the show this one had the most electric audience. This just goes to show that the show stands on its own feet and that there is an astonishing cast of principles, ensemble members, and swings supporting it 100% that makes the show as incredible as it is.

I'm excited to see others have the opportunity to show off their talents and portrayals. As understudies go on, please describe your experiences here!

We saw Burr's understudy Saturday and he was terrific. Was a bit disappointed when we walked in but I'm always pulling for understudy opportunities and their success!
