I haven't seen Happiness, but I can tell
when someone has an ax to grind like
Roscoe; my comments stand--and obviously
hit a little too close to home.

Stand as they might, Nick's comments mean nothing as Nick hasn't seen HAPPINESS.
How pathetic to complain about criticism of a show one hasn't seen. Evidently Nick has an axe to grind as well. And evidently, somehow, my comments on the show hit a little too close to home with Nick.
Again -- pathetic.
And by the way, someone who refers to [title of show] as [turd of show] is in no position to be complaining about how others express their opinions. Did Nick even bother to see [title of show] before coming up with that little gem?
I had to find a thread on this and just say...
I saw this today (technically yesterday) and I loved it! I can't stop thinking about it. It wasn't perfect by any means and was a bit cliche and predictable at parts, but something about it tugged at my heart strings and made me fall for it. The cast was phenomenal. I may write more and go into more detail tomorrow once I gather all my thoughts, but yeah... what a great little show!

i saw the show this week.
The first 2 scenes are wonderful (especially kevin chamberlain's) i thought I was in for a magical night at the theater. Wow was I wrong.
The music is banal (can anyone remember a song from this show) the characters are all stock characters which make them 2 dimensional at best.
The thing that made me the most mad about this whole show (and the insane secrecy of it from the plot to the casting at the beginning of this charade) is that the show is almost a direct rip off of the movie "After Life" by Koreeda Hirokazu. This is pathetic and sad to me. Anyone who says this is an "original musical" is sorely mistaken.
Sebastian Arcelus does a fine job but that's about it. Hunter foster does his Hunter Foster, Jenny Powers screams throughout the show and the rest of the characters sink in the mire.
The worst scene was the one where the father who doesn't pay his child support and as such makes his ex wife work 3 jobs to support her little girl, comes back to be the special tooth fairy to his daughter. Maybe if he paid his child support there wouldn't be the animosity that the mother and the daughter have for each other. I love that this show is showing that dead-beat dads' are fun and nice when they wear a tutu. Gimme a beak.
This show is awful and downright plagiaristic to the point that they should be sued.
Don't see the show. rent the movie. Cause then you won't feel cheated.

I have seen this show twice, and each time I saw it, after the show I heard people talking about what their moment would be.
For a show (or any piece of art, for that matter) to make people think about something like that - well, I don't care how cheezy or less-than-perfectly-written or whatever it might be, that's a worthy accomplishment.
If it did nothing more, it would have achieved what it was supposed to achieve.
And if they make an album, I'll buy 10 just to make it so it doesn't lose a lot of money.
i saw it saturday and all i can think about is what my moment would be. it's not a perfect show, it needs work, but i loved it! and pretty please let there be a cast album

it doesn't "need work" it needs to be sued for plagiarism.
