What show has no student rush or lotto and is hard to get seats to?

I have a gift certificate and I want to use it for a show that's good, but hard to get into.

P.s. I'm going in January 07.

I would love to see:
Les Mis (student rush)
Drowsy (Lotto)

Is your gift certificate for Ticketmaster or Telecharge?

Well you have to find out. They sell totally different shows.

I hate Broadway gift certificates. They are soo hard to use. You have to go to a store that like...takes the gift certificates.
I went to FYE (the music store)- you have to find out what stores take them. And then they (at the store) look up seats and then you kinda go from there. And, you have to pay an extra service charge for "supposed" conveinence. Although, I think it's a pain in the @$$.

Good luck though!

I think Jersey Boys has rush but other than that, it's pretty hard to get tickets. And Avenue Q has a lotto but that's nearly impossible.

I'm not sure if those shows are ticketmaster or telecharge.

It also might be a Broadway.com certificate which needs to be redeemed on their site.

Jersey Boys is probably the hardest to get tickets for.
Mary Poppins and Wicked are runners up.

They are both Telecharge.

I would imagine that you could just go the telecharge or ticketmaster.com and enter the code on your gift certificate.

If you DO have Ticketmaster, the only Broadway they sell are:

THE PIRATE QUEEN - Jury is still out.
MARY POPPINS - Don't believe they offer rush or lotto.
TARZAN - Lotto, I think - but not worth a dime.
THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN' - Don't waste your time.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - Don't bother.
THE LION KING - I assume you've seen this...
HAIRSPRAY - Great show, but they have SRO and lotto.
RENT - Great show, but they have SRO and lotto.
WICKED - Okay, but they do have lotto.
THE DROWSY CHAPERONE - Great, but with lotto and cheap mezz seats.
THE GRINCH - Cheap seats.

So in the end, if you have a gift certificate for ticketmaster, I would go with MARY POPPINS.

I believe Jersey Boys is sold out through March 2007, and then you can only purchase tickets by student rush or by cancellation.

Telecharge gift certificates can only be redeemed at the box office for the show.

Ticketmaster gift certificates can only be redeemed at Ticketmaster Ticket Centers (usually in music stores, or in malls if you're out in the country).

I had a Ticketmaster gift certificate recently and I got a ticket to MARY POPPINS. I have $30 left on it and I'm going to use it for BROADWAY UNPLUGGED! at Town Hall.

Wow! Thanks guys!

About Poppins, I've seen the London version. Is it different in the US?

THE PIRATE QUEEN - I want to see this.
MARY POPPINS - Saw the London cast, but I'm interested in the U.S. cast.
TARZAN - I wouldn't mind seeing it with SR.
THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN' - Never heard
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - Seen it.
THE LION KING - Saw on tour.
HAIRSPRAY - Saw on tour.
RENT - Seen it.
WICKED - Seen it a little too much...
THE DROWSY CHAPERONE - I want to see this, but I'll try for the lotto.
LES MISERABLES - I'm going to search the other posts to see what they say about the SR

Don't think twice about "The Times They Are a Changin" - it'll be closed by the time you cash in your certificate.

LES MIS sells through Telecharge, NOT Ticketmaster.

Mary Poppins has $20 balcony seats (which I think qualifies as cheap), but they may be sold out.

OK. My gift cert is for Broadway.com

I'm deciding between The Apple Tree, Mary Poppins, and Les Miserables.

Jersey Boys is sold out till September.
There's also Student Rush for it.
