Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel sound more than good together. Their individual voice qualities blend exceptionally well when they harmonize and sing together in general.
Can you think of other extraordinary duos?
What are you favorite songs that employ harmony?
All the songs between John Hill and Michael Arden in BARE have amazing blend and they sound heavenly together.

i think that idina and fredi harmonize well at the end of 'take me or leave me'. oh!! kerry butler and kaitlin hopkins.
This isn't a duet, but I am going to say everyone in the I'M FALLING IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE quartet from Thoroughly Modern Millie (Marc Kudisch, Sutton Foster, Gavin Creel, Angela Christian).

Yes! "About a Quart til Nine" and "If Momma Was Married" have gorgeous harmonies!
LOL, I dont think of gorgeous harmonies in "If Mamma Was Married", but what do I know? :) They sound like brassy harmonies to me.

Oh, here's another one. It's playing right now. "You're Nothing Without Me" from CITY OF ANGELS - James Naughton and Gregg Edelman. Great harmony!
Also the duet from CHESS - "I Know Him So Well."
I have an honest question, and this isn't a dig at anyone, it's just come as a result of the tons of lists including Adam Pascal on them:
I saw Aida recently, with Adam in it, and honestly, I didn't like him at all. I thought I would because I always hear how great he is. So my question is, what about his voice is what makes people like him so much?
How about Sutton Foster and Angela Christian in "How the Other Half Lives"?
I also thing Bun Foo and Ching Ho sound good together in the reprise of "Not For the Life of Me".

Hmm well some people like the rock quality of Adam's voice I believe, personally sometimes I love his voice (on the recordings of Aida and RENT) and sometimes I think it gets too ridiculously growly when he is singing rock songs, but that's just me. Sometimes I make a little fun of him but I still enjoy the passionate edge his voice brings to his performances! And everyone has different tastes of course!
I was just wondering because when I just saw Aida all I could think was how his voice was so gravel-like that it got to where he was hard to understand at points.

haha, well sometimes I don't know how his voice survives. It sounds painful, but I guess that's just the tone of his voice. You might have to ask an Adam groupie for their reasons for loving him, though...and you know they're everywhere!!

I Know Him So Well - Chess
Hmm, I guess I will try to answer the Adam question. Truthfully, I dont know! I just love it. I can only speak for myself though. I listened to RENT since i was in 7th grade (199. For years i didnt know who any of the cast memebers were all i knew was that i loved "rogers" voice. I would listen to Glory over and over when i was upset - cus lets face it, its a good song when you are depressed. And who isnt depressed as a teen/preteen. One day i finally looked at who played who, and then found out he was currently starring in AIDA ( i knew the commercials on TV sounded familiar) and got the Cast Recording and loved the music and him in it. After that i bought his CD - Model Prisoner and it was just great.
I will say one thing, his voice isnt for everyone. And for those who dont like it, I know that its just not their cup of tea! Hope i helped.
Oh yeah, it helps when you are hot. :)
EDIT -- the year is supposed to be 1998
Alright, I'll give you the he's good looking bit. :-p
