Has anyone seen it? Care to write a small review?
I'm seeing it Wednesday evening.
Yay.

There have been some very positive reviews over at ATC. Here's a feature story on it from the Times:

I saw the show tonight. I give it a B.
Estelle Parsons is charming, but kind of crazy...not Ruth Gordon, quirky-crazy...more like Anna Nicole Smith, druggy-crazy.
Eric Millegan has a nice singing voice, but was pretty much as stale as anyone I have ever seen on stage. Just not a whole lot going on in any of his big sceens with Parsons. I didn't believe they liked each other, much less could fall in love with each other. Not sure what Eric was doing vocally either. His speech was annoyingly all one pitch, like he was doing anything he could to be quirky. Instead he just sounded like he had no imagination.
The incomparable Danny Burstein and Donna Lynne Champlin steal this show, causing the oscar winner and mister boring to take a back seat, at least for tonight.
Over all, the show was good. The scenery is minimal, but interesting in its seamless movement on sliding stages, and a series of projections give the show a cinematic feel.
The book by Tom Jones is solid - funny, witty, and touching, but the best thing about this show was the score. Joe Thalkin is amazing, and proves he is the next great composer out there. The duet between Harold and Maude, sung over Harold's pistol is one of the most beautiful new songs I have heard.

Daisy, you little skank.
You're not only back in the area, but you're finally in my neck of the woods and you're going to Papermill without me??
You SO do not deserve to be prom queen!!!

HEY! Who said I wanted to be prom queen?! It's a heavy burden to carry you know...
Anyway, I don't know if I'm coming in after all. I've fallen ill... uh-oh. If I do, you should come with us tomorrow night!!!
