Harold and Maude and Menapause?

Posted: 3/1/05 at 11:01amI'd see "Harold and Maude" but that's because it's one of my favorite movies and I'm curious about the musical. Just my opinion, though...

Posted: 3/3/05 at 6:18amMENOPAUSE is basically a collection of parodies of '60s pop hits sung by four middle aged women with character names like 'Earth Mother' and 'Housewife' and 'Soapie Star'. It is vulgar and crass (a woman sings "Only You" using a vibrator instead of a microphone) but the target audience adores the show and the author is soon going to be very rich from multiple productions (think Dan Coggin and NUNSENSE!)

Posted: 3/3/05 at 10:46amYeah, I haven't heard great things about "Menopause." We have a production of it in Denver and it hasn't gotten raves or anything. In fact, I seem to remember that the reviews were lukewarm at best.
