Meadow Brook Theatre? I see that they are doing "No Way To Treat A Lady" in January and I was wondering how the quality of their shows is. Has anyboby ever seen anything that they've produced? NWTTAL is a big fave of mine, but I can only make the trip to Michigan if and only if it is worth it.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thx in advance

Yes, I live in MI and have been there a few times. A lot of concerts come there...I saw a concert there once but that was probably ten years ago so I don't really remember it that well. I haven't actually seen a play there though, so I'm not really sure of the quality of their productions. But what I can tell you is that its an outdoor theater (they have pavilion and lawn seats).

Yikes! Can it be an outdoor pavilion at the beginning of January! Sounds Cold to me.

Meadow Brook Music Theatre is a popular outdoor concert venue. Meadow Brook Theatre is Michigan's largest non-for-profit producing theatre.

It's hard to say what constitutes "if and only if it is worth it" for someone else, but Meadow Brook's productions are usually good. You might note that NWTTAL is being co-produced with BoarsHead Theatre (an Equity theater in Lansing www.boarshead.org ) and directed by Geoffrey Sherman. Apart from his tenures at BoarsHead Sherman has freelance directed around the country.

I go to Oakland University and Meadowbrook is on my campus. I've had many professors direct and/or act there. It's hard to say. I've seen some great shows there and I've seen some not so good ones. But depending on the director and cast it could be very good. If I hear anytime soon on who is cast and if it's people I know of I'll let you know.

Yawper I was doing some surfing and foud this article about Geoffrey Sherman. Apparently he's moving up in the world and is going to be producing artistic director at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. So now I wonder who is going to direct??? Any Ideas?
