I just thought it would be interesting to see. And I don't mean community theatre or high school or regional. I mean like Broadway or Broadway national tours.
I can honestly say that there is no Broadway tour or Broadway show I have seen that I haven't liked. Of course, there are ones that I have preferred over others. I liked Les Mis and Aida and RENT more than The Music Man or Little Women, but I have truly enjoyed every show I have seen. Maybe I'm just not that critical or something, but I don't know if that's very common or not.
I really don't dislike it that much but, I would say Brooklyn. I'm not sayin is a bad show.
i like brooklyn.
I'm usually a fairly good judge of what I'm going to like and what I won't (mostly so that I don't waste my money), but probably the closest thing to disliking a Broadway show I've ever come is DRS.
Like I said it's not a bad show. I guess I'm refering to out of all the shows I've seen. Sorry
I know this isn't going to be a popular answer, but I absolutely despise Phantom of the Opera.

Patronus, you are not alone.
I hate it. Although "Think of Me" is semi-cute.
I have never seen POTO either, but I digress.
I hated Gypsy with Bernedette.......but I think I'd hate it with anyone...too long, and for me...BORING!
Yeah, I don't mind "Think of Me" or "Phantom of the Opera" but the show for me was about 3 hours of absolute boredom.
You didn't think the chandelier falling wasn't interesting.

i may get shot for this.... but i didn't really like the producers. all the hype and excitement i heard about it was really a let down because i expected it to be so extravagant.
maybe it was because i saw Wicked with Idina and Kristen the day before i saw the producers
The chandelier falling was a fantastic effect only because it woke me up and reminded me that I shouldn't be sleeping through the show.
Seriously, it was a fine effect but I had seen helicopters landing on stage before the chandelier. It's even worse now given the effects in some shows.

i've liked every show that i've seen except for (i'm gonna get killed for this too) Avenue Q. Yes, it was funny, but i felt that it was too inappropriate. They can get a point across without the vulgar actions and words.
Patronus, I agree with you 100% . . . I just did not get all of the to do about the show. I thought POTO was more about spectacle than music. And, I am not an ALW fan to begin with . . .
And, in a move I am sure will offend, I really did not like Cats. Some of the music was nice, and I know that it is an analogy to life and all, but get over it, they are cats. I saw it when I was younger, so who knows, maybe my view would change, but I just thought it was pretty silly.
Yeah, I am right there with you on Cats also.
In fact, the only ALW musicals I really care for are Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph...Dreamcoat.
I guess you can put Evita in that mix only because it's basically the same score as JCS with different lyrics.
I absolutely despise jukebox musicals. Any at all. The storylines are so far-fetched. In my opinion a Broadway musical's songs should enhance the plotline, not create it.
I saw Joseph when I was young and liked it. Have not seen a complete JC Superstar. And, am interested in what people will say about Woman in White.
I also was not that impressed with Sunset Blvd. I Saw it on Broadway and it seemed more about the sets than the music.
Evita I liked, but did not love.

Yeah, I am not into jukebox musicals either, but I really doubt I'd see one unless the cast was one I loved (ie Lennon).

ive found something to enjoy in every show ive attended.
I hated FAME. Loved the movie....hated the stage musical.
I'm with you there. I usually find something to enjoy in a show.
As far as Woman in White goes, I've listened to the CD and so far have not found any value in it. Maybe I'm wrong but I almost think Andrew Lloyd Webber's legacy got this show on broadway, not the show's content. Then again, I guess it did well in London???
Oh, don't get me wrong I usually find something enjoyable in every show too. It's just that Poto and I didn't get along for whatever reason.
That being said, I didn't find something good in it. The last note.
