Wasn't too impressed with Antonio Banderas, but the women were all fantastic, and I loved the staging.

Posted: 5/15/03 at 10:02amI saw it April 16 and I enjoyed it. I had never seen a production of it anywhere. I wasn't sure what to expect from Antonio and thought he was good, but as I said I have nothing to compare him to. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

...but I got the feeling he was TRYING VERY HARD. Maybe he'll relax more further into the run. Liked the first act far better than the second, which got a bit turgid and messy.
Chita is of course a force of nature, but I predict La Krakowski will win the Tony for "that" one number alone!
Interesting, thought-provoking show.
