Camp Broadway is the best camps ive ever been to. It is an all week camp from 9 AM till 5 PM being trained by instructors who have worked professionally on tour, broadway, and movies. I did in Atlanta at the Fabulous Fox Theatre this summer and man it was great. They also do it in Detroit, Chicago, and of course NYC!!!! During the week you do two things to prepare for a performance on Friday(the last day). One of them is a Gypsy Showcase where you get with a group and go somewhere where people cant find you or hear and what you do is, you take 2 musicals and combined them together to make a 4 minute skit. For example my group did Phantom...and Into the Woods calling it the Phantom of The Woods. It does a lot with working as a team. The other thing you do for the program is a musical presentation. Theres an older group and a younger group. I was in the older group. We did a 30 minute show of Fiddler On the Roof by using 5 songs and some dialogue with HARD AND HEAVY DANCING!!!!!! It felt like being in the show. Ive never had so much in a theatre camp like this one. It felt like being on Broadway. If you want more info then reply and tell me whut you think about it.

Yes sir- I attended this summer in NYC, baby! We combined "The Producers" and "The Lion King", and created "Springtime For Simba"- I was Simba-hahaha. We did Fiddler as well, which was a lot of fun, and we got to see GYpsy with Bernadette Peters.

I wish I couldv'e gone this year, but I didn't have anywhere to stay in New York! It wouldv'e been too much money for the camp and a hotel, so I couldn't go. To anyone who went, what did you do about accomadations?

I worked with Camp Broadway a few years ago.
Wish they had something like that when I was a kid -- I went to regular, boring ole day camp!
