Something simple that looks good on you. Solid colors work well. I have always thought turtlenecks work well for headshots. Are you doing color or B&W?
No solid white or solid black, you tend to look like a floating head.
Light colors like a light red (too dark looks bad), light blue, so on work well.
Whatever you're comfortable wearing. Be sure it looks like YOU. Nothing upsets a casting director more than an actor walking into the office who looks nothing like their picture!

Definitely looking like you is the most important aspect. But also, you want it to...say something about you. Not immensely, but the other day we were talking about headshots and they commented on one that it's her, but it's boring...says nothing about her. I can't tell you what you can to do to say something, but...yeah.
lol That's interesting. I have no idea what I could do to say something about myself either...
