When I first read this thread, I thought it said, "Heath Ledger, you're needed on the stage."
-----------
I read it the same way.

I love Heather Headley

Saw her in concert with Anthony Hamilton in 2006 and she was absolutely fantastic. That was my first time seeing her live & I'd love to see her on Broadway!!

She definitely has a great voice that needs to be heard by more and more people.

Loved her Lion King. Loved her singing in Aida. Her speaking and acting were a disappointment, however. Sherie stole the show as far as I was concerned.

I saw her on Soul Train recently and she looked a mess. Sounds GREAT!!! But looked a Hawt Azz Mess.... I hope she can get herself together and get her butt back on stage where she belongs!

I've listened to her first pop album and was disappointed. Why waste a voice like Heather's on hip-hop?

Too bad the show is closing. She'd fit that role excellently.

Ms. Headley, you're STILL needed on the stage!!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

She's just waiting for the right part. Probably a smart move. Would hate to have her come back only to be told to go away. re: 'Heather Headley, you're needed on the stage.'

She sure wouldnt come back to replace someone. She's been nominated for Grammys and had a pretty successful record.

I liked her alot in The Lion King and Do Re Mi, but thought she was very mannered in Aida (overacting, which you can hear on the recording). Her vocals are terrible in the Dreamgirls concert, but the role is out of her range, and they were all in poor voice due to the strains at the time.

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
