I love the film (if you haven't seen it, rent it) and was wondering if anyone has seen or read the play. I know the play is a one act and uses only 3 characters - I'm guessing Jonathan, Isabel, and Alec.
I would love to hear the differences between the two, as well as what people think of the film compared with the play.

You should read the play. It's only about 20 minutes - It's essentially an expanded self-contained version of what ended up being the final scene in the film (on the roof).
I also love that movie - More people should know about it...

Posted: 10/4/06 at 10:24amJust viewed the film recently. Performances were good, liked most of the camera work and art direction. Had trouble w some of the elements in the script. Just a tad to "and we all go to the seashore" for me. But I'm a bitter and cynical old woman. ( so I'm told)

I don't mean to upset a bitter and cynical old woman, but could you elaborate on "a tad to and we all go to the seashore?" I'm not quite sure what you mean.
