Help finalizing spring show list!

Hi All, my wife will have the pleasure of visiting NY again this spring. Over the past few weeks I have made list after list of shows that we plan to see. It keeps changing as shows are added to the season etc. So its time to finalize my list and start buying tickets where I can for the shows that are on sale. I would rather buy early and try to get good seats......so here is where I'm at, any help or thoughts is greatly appreciated. We have room for 6 shows....

100% for sure:

-Dear Evan Hansen, 6 degrees of separation

75% for sure:

-Doll house Part 2, Ground Hog Day

Have no dang idea!:

-Bandstand, Charlie & Chocolate Factory, Great comet (seems to be people either love it or hate it), Waitress, Come From Away, Little foxes.

That's it, so 6 in total, have room to pick 2 from the last list......any suggestions are appreciated THANKS!!

From your "no idea" list, I'd go with Comet and The Little Foxes. Comet is great, and you can't beat seeing Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Great Comet is absolutely amazing. You might want to do some research on it though, because it's a pretty unique show, see if it's something that you're interested in. Personally I love it! I also recommend Waitress, I saw it last summer and it's both funny and emotional. Not to be missed, especially while Jessie Mueller is in it

Comet is great but if you're expecting a Groban concert or a Les Miserables type show you won't like it. I think a lot of people were upset by the lack of Groban.

Re Great Comet, we are not Groban fans, him being there or not being there has no bearing on whether we would see the show. This show is the one that I have gone back and forth with the most. One day yes it sounds amazing, another day read how people say its terrible and take it off the list. Thus, its on the I don't know list and wondering if there are too many other great choices to take a chance on it.

I loved Comet but I compare it to meeting a good looking, exciting guy (or girl) who gives you a whirlwind evening. I was intoxicated but when I sobered up, I can understand some of the complaints about the substance of the story and some unnecessary elements but... it still doesn't dampen the happiness I felt in the moment. I think if you can be in the moment and are open to something very different from the typical theater experience then you will enjoy it. I feel like the younger to middle aged people loved it. The conservative and older people not as much but the party next to me were older and loved it. I sensed most of the disdain was the expectations that they were going to get a Groban concert. I think you should focus on the posters who are most like you and use their comments to decide.

Bandstand and The Great Comet are both great IMO.

HelloB, that description of Comet is awesome! I have read so many reviews and I think that one is probably the best one I have read. Interesting to see much love for Come From Away here. I may have to seriously consider adding that one for sure
