I don't know if anyone has tickets to Bill Irwin's upcoming THE REGARD EVENING at Signature Theatre, but regardless, I was wondering if someone could help me understand what's going on. I bought tickets for Wednesday night, and they just called me saying that the performance will be cancelled due to a supposed "illness" (do they have psychics working for them?) Anyway, they switched my tickets to Thursday night. Granted, opening night is Monday, for some reason there is NO performance on Tuesday and now Wednesday is cancelled. But if they switch all Wed tickets to Thursday, what happens to Thursday tickets? (and it snowballs from there.) The only thing I can imagine is that they are not selling out and are condensing the shows. Is this possible? Has this happened before? Freaking much? Yes, I know I'm insane...
My guess is that Wednesday night had very few tickets sold and Thursday wasn't much better so they move those who had booked for Wednesday to Thursday which would make the house look better.I guess the weekends shows are looking healthier so they wouldn't worry about them.
