Henry IV- A MUST See

Jack O'Brien's production of Henry IV is a stunning night of theater. I find Henry IV to be Shakespeare's best play and this production was simply superb. Kevin Kline's Falstaff and Michael Hayden's Prince Hal are the best performances of the season. The scenic design by Ralph Funicello and lighting design by Brian MacDevitt are wonderfully innovative. The four hours flew by- it was one of the most engaging nights of theater. Ethan Hawke's performance as Hotspur was not nearly as good as the other actors, his choices were broad and very general, but he held his own. This is an excellent production that you simply must see.
