Please, no! Let someone younger play Elphaba. Ruthie is extremely talented, but I just can't picture her as Elphaba.

Heard awful things about her performance....even from very devoted fans. It seems this is not her role.

Well, Ruthie started as Marion yes! Exciting! I am seeing it this coming month. But from what I heard, the new cast was VERY gd. Ruthie have extreme mixed reviews. Some people think that she's VERY blad but some thought that she did a better job showing off her talents than she did in CHICAGO.
Well, sorry can't help much! But I would have thought that Ruthie would do a MUCH better than Maria Friedman!

I think her voice and acting is very similar to Stephanie J Block, so if she ever was elphaba, her performance would probably be similar to hers, in my opinion :)
