I am very excited that this show is coming to SF (if only for a month in May). I read some back posts about it (yes, I did a search before just opening a thread), and some of the reviews from theater sites. I haven't heard much of the composer's music before though.
I saw Bebe in "Three Penny Opera" here in SF a couple of years ago, I think it was Oct of 1999. There was a terrific "lightening storm of the century for the Bay area" on opening night of that show, and my friend and I liked to think that Bebe brought it on! I enjoyed her in that production enormously, and look forward to checking her out in this one.
I have always been a fan of Bebe's, and plan to get tickets for the first week of May. If any of you saw Here Lies Jenny when it was at the Zipper in NY, please let me know what you thought of the music and the show.
Thanks!
