The performances are great. No complaints there other than I felt Rachel Stern (Liz) sounded a bit better live; she seemed a bit throaty on "She Goes." Still sounds great though.
I liked that they took out Barry's "Top Five Worst Duets of All Time" during the opener and replaced it with a shorter line, as I wouldn't want to listen to him repeat that list every time I listen to the track. However, I miss some of the dialogue in "She Goes" and "Nine Percent Chance." Nothing too important, though.
I also think that a lot of the humor within the score is partially lost when simply listening to an audio recording. "Conflict Resolution" is still funny on the album, but those who never saw the sequence live will probably be confused as to what is actually happening in the song. "The Last Real Record Store on Earth" and "It's No Problem" were very reliant on the visual element of the show for laughs as well.
My biggest complaint is that the orchestrations seem thin, but I imagine they were probably on a shoestring budget (or, as I said in the other thread, apparently put all of their available money into the packaging!). Objectively, High Fidelity's score really isn't especially strong, but there are some truly standout tracks, and it's nice to have this recording as a reminder of the fun times I had at the show.
