Yes, that horribly wonderful movie is on again tonight and for your viewing pleasure it will be on twice in a row!
Disney Channel at 8/7c and 10/9c.
Oh and tonight they will be broadcasting the sing-along and dance-along versions so get out your tap shoes and hide the kids!
(I posted this on the off-topic board too as I wasn't quite sure where it belonged.)

Posted: 4/21/06 at 7:24pmYou have to admitt as cheesy movies go, it's pretty entertaining. The only thing that scares me is young kids thinking that musical theater sounds like whiny voiced teens lip synching to pop songs.... anyway i adore it. (Clothing line...?)

Debating if I want to watch it or not. My favorite line is def. at the end when Sharpy of w.e her name is, loves the cookies and the guy says "Next time if you lucky I will make you some Creme brulee!

Why I despise HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL with a burning passion:
1) It totally disrespects and destroys the whole art of musicals in our modern day. Yes, it can be debated that singing randomly is cheesy in any show, but I feel it is a deeper expression of feelings for the characters. But when stereotypical sports guys ae mad at one for joinging the drama club because it's not the status quo for jocks to sing and dance, then why oh why are they themselves singing and dancing to an awful song in the middle of the cafeteria?
2) The drama teacher teaches all the teens that we love the theatre for bad singing, awful songs, and uninspired brother and sister duo who are always trying to play the romantic leads!
3) It is a passionless movie that is only popular because pop songs are incorporated, pleasing the American Idol Generation.
There are so many more reasons, but they're too lengthy and I don't feel like typing away for hours on one subject.

I think it's terrible. All of the kids have computerized whiney voices.
The script is bad, and the plot is forgettable. No offense, this is just my opinion.

its awful.
I think the movies based on musical theatre kids mean well.. but never pull it off.
A documentary on highschool kids putting on musicals would probably be much more entertaing than this.

"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

Holy cow, I love this movie and it's camp-yness! All of the theatre jokes had me in stitches. I think though that my FAVORITE part is when Ryan and Shar-pay are in the dressing room warming up and "giving energy" and "trusting" each other. It's just SOO THEATRE!
Re-reading this, I sound like one of thos OMG EYE-DYNA WIKKED teeny-bopper kids, Oy.
Did anybody here like the indy-film Camp btw? I loved it, especially w/all of the Sodheim refrences and cameo!
