So I always listen to my iPod and shuffle and this leads to some very strange, hilarious, or just eerie transitions between songs.

Once I was walking home and heard: "Hold on, there's something you should hear; It isn't much, but it took all year.....SHOT THROUGH THE HEART! AND YOU'RE TO BLAME!" I cracked up in the middle of the street.

Another time I heard the end of one of the Voicemails from RENT go right into a pop song that starts with the sound of a dial tone.

This morning, I heard the song from SEUSSICAL where Mayzie meets Horton and the circus and refuses to take back her egg. The track ends with her saying "Goodbye," and then my iPod went mmediately into SPELLING BEE: "Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye!"

Anybody else have some good ones?

(Yes, I'm bored. Feel free to ignore.)

Oh goodness this happened to me just today! "Its Gonna Be Good (Reprise)" turned right into "No Good Deed" so I heard 'What was his name?!' followed by 'FIYEROOOOO!' It made me smile.

I don't have any really good examples, but I swear my iPod can read my mind sometimes.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

I don't have any good examples, but I'm always excited when I have my iPod on shuffle and it comes up with 'America's Son' from The Fix, which ends with the wonderful lines:

"What do you say to that, Mr Councilman?
What do you say to that?"

I just look forward to seeing what my random will come up with. Almost nothing is appropriate, and it's even better now I have Imagination Movers on here. XD

'Lovely Ladies' always finds an inappropriate song to follow

I love when my iPod does this, and I love it when it fits my mood.I wish I could remember my best example, it happened a few months ago, it went from one smouldering and dangerous love song (which I can't recall) to another smouldering and dangerous love song (You'll Go Away with Me from See What I Wanna See). I literally stopped dead in my tracks for a few seconds.

You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Best. Thread. Ever.

Unfortunately, the only interesting one I have is "My Friends" transitioning into "My Humps".

The song TEAM from Charlie Brown came on, and I promptly skipped it.

The next song was Henry Ford from Ragtime, which has the very end of the words "Wheel of a Model T"

What I heard:
CB: Give me a T!
Coalhouse: T!

Gold.

YES! Is that the artist? It came on a mix CD, so I never really learned the artist and title.

On mine I have Emily Skinner singing Poor Unfortunate Souls from Live and Raw at Town Hall. The song ends and Alice Ripley goes on to talk about doing a reading of KRISTINA by "the Abba guys". Alice talks about playing the whore but how she instead is going to sing one of Kristina's beautiful songs...

Alice Ripley: "And this is the song she sings in the show"
Katy Perry: "This was never the way I planned, not my intention..."

I'd like to think that, Yes Kristina does sing I Kissed A Girl
