The Hippodrome Schedule for 2007-08 has just been released.
The Wedding Singer (Sept. 11-23)
My Fair Lady (Nov. 6-1
Avenue Q (Dec. 11-23)
Cirque Dreams (Jan. 22-Feb. 3)
High School Musical (Feb. 19-March 2)
Camelot (March 25-April 6, 200
The Color Purple (April 29-May 25)
Option Shows:
Hairspray (Oct 16-24)
Menopause:The Musical (June 27-?)
Let me be the first to say that the Hippodrome totally dropped the ball. Why is it that with TWO touring companies going out, we still could not get Jersey Boys? This is a huge disapointment for me.

Compared to the current season, this is a total disappointment - the only show on this that I would definately see on this list is Avenue Q. Camelot would require a discount, and I may love Hairspray, but the Non-Eq tour is rather scaled down.

DISAPPOINTING!!!
Saw Wedding Singer on Broadway... enjoyed it. But, on this board somewhere was the news that the tour was going out non-equity with a LOT less sets... we'll see.
Love Avenue Q
Color Purple - Ok, I can live with this one.
Camelot and My Fair Lady??? You've gotta be kidding me. I thought this was the "BROADWAY" series! Not the UK Tour or the Michael York presents series.
Cirque Dreams - If I wanted to see a Cirque show, I'd go to Vegas. This show should absolutely NOT be on a BROADWAY series subscription.
High School Musical - Again, not a BROADWAY show. Fine for kids, but this is probably the perfect example of a non-subscription show.
VERY upset. The exclusion of Jersey Boys, Drowsy Chaperone, Sweeny Todd, and Light in the Piazza are disappointing. At one point this site said Martin Short was touring with his "Fame Becomes Me" show.. that would have been good too.
All in all, VERY disappointing!!
Hmmm...
I guess I will have to come up and see
HAIRSPRAY
AVENUE Q
The Color Purple
but that is it...
I actually think it's a lot better than any of the schedules the theaters in DC have put out so far.

Really? Is Wedding Singer going non-equity? It's kicking off it's tour here in Birmingham in Sept. I thought "wow, we're getting the first leg of a big national tour" but now I find it's non-equity. Damn.

balto, I could not have said it better.
Either Jersey Boys, Drowsy Chaperone, Sweeney Todd, or Light in the Piazza combined with the rest minus High School Musical would have saved this season for me.
As it is, I will have to seriously consider dropping my season ticket.
