Can someone help me? i saw Phantom of the Opera at christmas and there was a scene (in the graveyard) where the Phantom is shooting the fire at Raoul. I've only seen Phantom once and in this scene the fire came out in small strikes which (to be honest) looked a bit pathetic. In the programme it shows a picture of it and it looks different, i was just wondering if this was a mistake and something went wrong with the stick of not.....its really bugging me...lol thanks
I honestly think that the pictures in the Program are a little "touched up". My only other guess is that they were paying more attention to special effects detail in the early years of the show being performed. The effect, as I've seen the show 3 times in the past year, always seems a little corny to me.
When I saw it the fire only came out in little spurts. I wouldn't call it pathetic but it certainly wasn't anything special.
yeah, that is exactly what I thought when I saw it for my first time, too. I was like "did something malfunction, because my grandmom wouldn't even run from that"
and speaking of the special effects, was the chandelier falling ever impressive? because for all the times I have seen it, it is also a laughable effect for me. it takes like five minutes for the thing to fall all the way. I know that safety is an issue, but couldn't be a little more realistic?
