Hollywood Bowl Stage Door ????

I will be seeing Hairspray at the Bowl in august and was curious if there was a stage door and if so where is it? i know that this HAS been asked before but in that post some people said there was a stage door and others said there wasent and i wanted an updated answer. I can imagine if there is a stage door it will be packed with sceaming girls. I know that some people have said that they have done the stage door at the bowl so i was curious if anybody had and what their experiences were. any help is GREATLY appriacted!

There is a stagedoor! If you are facing the stage it will be on your left hand side! You have to go down some stairs I believe. If your seats are on the right side of the theatre it is pretty much impossible to get to the stagedoor unless you leave your seat before the show ends. Since the exit is on the right side you will be going against the flow of the crowd and people will think and call you stupid -_- (learned that the hard way). You can ask the ushers there, they will tell you exactly where the stagedoor is!

Yes, I have been there. I went there for RENT last year and yes it is PACKED. That is why it is pretty much impossible to go to stagedoor if you are on the opposite side since you have a good amount of the 17000 people headed your way!

I'm also going to Hairspray at the bowl..
does anyone know, will they have a playbill?

Yes, they have a stage door, and it's a mad house after the shows. A CRAZY ASS MAD HOUSE and I would avaoid it like the plauge.

And, yes, there will be a program/playbill.

Yes the do have playbills but the are 8.5 x 11 inches and they are a dollar each. :/
