I was wondering what anyone had thought about Jeff Marx's new musical that also Music written by NOFX's Fat Mike and his dominatrix girlfriend. There is a concept album out and it is also on Spotify. I also believe that Lena Hall is on there too. I could see this having a decent off broadway run.

I believe the piece is titled "Home Street Home," just FYI.
It played at the Z Space here in San Francisco. I saw it. Similar to Rent, Spring Awakening, and American Idiot, I found it to be a whole bunch of characters whining about problems that they caused themselves and expected us to feel sorry for them. The music is similar to the shows that I mentioned earlier, though less distinguished. Most of the actors sing well, some don't. None of them can act particularly well, nor are they capable of giving their characters some much needed nuance. There are parts where the show slows down. These are the best moments. I imagine not many will agree with me. Lasts about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
