Going to the great genius Gordon Willis, the great Roger Corman, some other guy, and Lauren Bacall.

Lauren Bacall? An honorary Oscar? Really?

Hmmmm.....

Great choices

Whoever thought Roger Corman & Oscar would be in the same sentence. The montage of film clips from his movies should be fun.

Are you joking? FOUR honorary Oscars?? Who cares- not one of these folks deserves a free ticket much less a statue. No wonder viewership is down.

Roger Corman is an interesting choice. Nearly four hundred films as Producer or Co-Producer. Lauren Bacall? Well, it must be for her early work or just for living so long as a Holywood darling whilst only garnering one nomination her entire career. Gordon Willis is an excellent choice. I really don't know anything about John Calley or why his Oscar is deserved. Is it because he's almost 80?
Lauren should have won for this!

Gordon Willis was the director of photography on THE GODFATHER, THE GODFATHER PART II, ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN, ANNIE HALL, MANHATTAN, ZELIG and other films without ever winning an Oscar and only getting nominated twice.

His honorary Oscar is shockingly overdue. They finally got this right.

It happens occasionally

Normally they wait until someone dies & give it posthumously.

Bacall should get it for being snubbed for her brilliant performance in The Mirror Has Two Faces alone.
