There is a CD release scheduled for "Hot September". I got an e mail message from a record dealer I subscribe to . When I get the date, I will post it

Hopefully many of the scores alledgedly to be on CD ( Dracula, A Mothers Kisses, Georgy, Lovely Ladies Fine Gentlemen, The Fig Leaves Are Falling) will actually be released.

Is the HOT SEPTEMBER recording one of the old Blue Pear bootlegs that is being releasing on CD?

Unlike A Mother's Kisses, Georgy and Lovely Ladies, Hot September has very little to recommend it.

I believe she is, Wildcat, but I'm not positive.

Fynsworth Alley was set to release it a couple of years ago, but they unfortunately went under before it could happen. I assume it's in permanent limbo now.

DRACULA is set for definite release, but NOT with the original cast. The guy who runs the Cast Album FAQ, who has never once posted an opinion about a release, went so far as to say this:

"Note: This recording of Dracula does not feature the Broadway cast. Equity would have required composer Frank Wildhorn either to pay the original cast members one week's salary apiece for their participation, or to wait a certain period of time after the show closed before making a recording. He chose instead to invite different performers to record the show, citing his desire to have it ready before the coming national tour.

Insofar as the Cast Recordings FAQ makes editorial judgements, we find his conduct here reprehensible. We strongly recommend that fans of show music avoid this release to punish Wildhorn for his ingratitude to a loyal and talented cast."
