The Hotel Carter just needs a catchy tv commercial.

($49.50 per night!!)

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Awesome TV commercial! Wish the price was still the same! I kinda like the looks of the new rooms. So happy to have had this source to get information from people like all of you! I am now not going to be staying at the number dirtiest hotel in America. I about died when I read that. Voted dirtiest hotel in America 3 out of 4 years. WOW!!

I remember that commercial

"All our dreams can come true -- if we have the courage to pursue them." -- Walt Disney We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".

The Carter isn't too bad, although I would check your mattress for syringes before you get into bed.

When I plan for my annual trip to NYC, I check out a multitude of hotels. The Hotel Carter stands out for its price. But then again...you get what you pay for. Besides, if a hotel doesn't have wi fi capability, I don't pick that hotel. The last hotel I stayed at was the Washington Jefferson. Nice place, but micro-rooms are teeny-tiny. It did offer free wi-fi. In 2011, I stayed at the Milford Plaza. It was o.k. The rooms were not too bad. Besides... I had a bonus....I could see New Jersey from my room on the 26th floor. : ) from RC in Austin, Texas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Getting so many great suggestions for hotels that I'm not familiar with. Keep them coming! Stayed at the Milford once before (prior to renovation) wasn't bad, wasn't great. There were a couple time I found a nice deal at the Marquis.....and several times I found great deals at the Paramount. Willing to change dates around for a rate. Only have a couple week in July that will work. Son will be away at summer school at the time.
