House of Yes + Company XIV in 1 night?

Could any Brooklynites help me with this?

I'm staying in midtown next week, but noticed two shows in Brooklyn I'm interested in:

• House of Yes
  • Dirty Circus
  • Saturday, 6:30pm-9:30pm

  • Also on Saturday, but at 10pm

1. It looks like the venues are close to each other. Do you think it'd be possible to see the shows back-to-back? Or would it be too much? Do you think we could duck out of the House of Yes show 10-15 minutes early?

2. Getting there seems relatively easy: 30 minutes on 2 subways? And the area's relatively safe correct?

3. Lastly, are these places too-cool-for-school? My partner & I are just t-shirt and jeans people. If it's too hipseter-y,I might pass.
