How Are The Lottery/Rush Seats For...

I'm going to be in New York for a week and want to try my chances at a lottery/rush for these shows:

In The Heights
Next To Normal
Chicago
West Side Story

How are the seats for these shows if you get lottery/rush tickets? Are the seats hard to see the stage from? Are they in a bad location? Sadly i'm sort of a seat snob. Thanks!

In The Heights - the only issue I've had there was when I was on far house left - the fire hydrant was in my way of a scene or two but not bad.

n2n is still front row and boxes. I have no issues with front row there - you don't miss THAT much in the great scheme of things. The only way a box is better is if you ger the front seat in the front section of the left box. The front seat in the front section of the right obx is fine for me, but I don't care about seeing "Everything Else". The other box seats are very hard to see all the action from without laying on the rail.

When I rushed Chicago, we got seats on the extreme sides towards the front. Not great. But then it's Chicago, so... (I only saw it for the person playing Mamma Morton. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.)

West Side Story is front row. The stage is lower than it was at Legally Blonde, but you still miss some of the footwork.

Memphis: If you get there early enough, there the front row and they're great! I didn't find the stage to be too high.

Race: It's whatever's available. Again, during the holiday weekend I went 30 minutes before curtain and got 4th row center orch. But you're pretty much guaranteed a seat here.

Ragtime: The lotto seats are absolutely fantastic. The best way to see this show. There's 23 seats available drawn 90 minutes to curtain. However, it's been very busy lately except for wednesday matinees.

Rock of Ages: The lotto seats in my experience can be either great or terrible. When I first saw the show I got far left orch and it was a very obstructed view.
