“We will not talk about this,” Mr. Smith said. “We do not ask you to comment on how much you charge for the newspaper.”

That still 35 cents?

it's just absolutely rediculous. if i could go to the actual box office and buy my ticket, i would, but as it is, i live in california and that is pretty much impossible. someone mentioned it before, the problem is that we have no choice. if we want to see a show and we don't live near the city, we have to pay the fees in order to make sure we have a ticket for that night. if i'm paying an arm and a leg to get to NYC, i want to know for a fact that i'm getting to see some shows.

If you're gonna be stupid enough to buy $110 tickets through ticketmaster, then you deserve to pay the $11 fees. And if you're paying that much for a ticket, clearly you have money, so why should the additional $11 matter? That's what NYC needs, more whiny rich people, wah wah. If you're too lazy to go to the theater, you use a SERVICE such as Ticketmaster or Telecharge. SERVICES charge FEES. Otherwise they'd be called FREEVICES not SERVICES. They SERVE you. You pay. They are not slaves waiting for your command. If you're gonna have someone serve you, you should be prepared for fees. It's like if you go to a restaurant and complain because you have to tip the people who serve you, or if you don't pay your hooker at a brothel.

For people who don't live in the area and who want to buy their tickets in advance, sadly this might be the only option, so yeah, the fees are a little steep...but you ARE using a service and is it insane to charge $11 for something that is as simple as printing a ticket? Yeah, it's crazy. BUT...they get away with such a steep fee because they know people are gonna do it ANYWAY! The people want their theater tickets and they're not gonna boycott Ticketmaster or Telecharge, they're gonna grumble and cry like 4 year old girls, but they WILL pay.

You think the Uggs you wear are really worth $150, or your Coach bag is anywhere near woth $400!? NO! But they're companies wanting to make a profit, and people will go out and spend $60 on a tshirt at Juicy that costs 8 cents to pay some little Guatamalan kid to sew together, and then complain about the $11 service fee. Companies want to make profits, have you ever heard of ANY service that doesn't charge? Get used to it.
