How do people get tickets to the Tony Awards Dress Rehearsal?

I was lucky.  I befriended years ago the Head of Security for the Tony Awards and other big shows.  I used to always come to visit Tony week and he would recognize me and always give me a free ticket to the rehearsal.  I think I got to go to go to 4 rehearsals over the years.  One year I was visiting in May and he gave me a ticket to the rehearsal of Night of a Hundred Stars, which was at Radio City Music Hall.  The neat thing I sat in a seat that at night went for  $1000.  This was years ago, so you can imagine what it would go for now.  I know this didn't help you, but I wanted to mention my experience.

You can buy a ticket to the actual telecast. I did it one year and sat up with the birds but if was a fun evening,
