"Clearly you weren't listening. Not everyone qualifies for a credit card. Anyone can get a grocery store card...there is no screening process for those. Credit cards are completely different. Why should a person be stuck in the rear balcony simply because he doesn't qualify for credit?"
The preferred seating is a perk that AmEx and VISA Signature offer to their customers. Most credit card companies offer some type of rewards program or other perks. It's one way they get people to choose their card over the myriad of others that are out there. I was able to buy tickets for Mary Poppins before they went on sale to the general public because I have a Disney Visa. Was that unfair to people who do not qualify for the Disney Visa? Maybe, but boohoo. Life is not fair.

Fosse76: I never said "everyone" can get a card, nor was I trying to imply that. I was saying that, like myself, more people will go get a card (I think there are a lot of people who do qualify for one that don't have one). In the end I completely agree with you that a person should not be stuck worse seats because they do not have a certain card. perks or no perks, the whole center orchestra should not be held for special people.
