I saw it with Alan and Jennifer Jason Leigh before it moved to Studio 54 and was just blown away by it. Is that final scene still as shattering as I remember?

I saw Cabaret in early March when I was in NYC. Neil Patrick Harris (I think he's there through Sunday, then Jon Secada will take over in early June) and Deborah Gibson were the leads. I enjoyed the show quite a bit. The final scene was indeed just as powerful as it has been in the past. It's still one of my favorite shows.

I believe that Cabaret is closing next spring, however.

Was a lot better than I thought he would be. Is he in anything else after he leaves Carabet?

I haven't heard about Neil's next project. I'd like to know, though. Does anyone else know?

Sure do,
He is scheduled to reprise his role in ASSASINS if it can ever open. I can't wait for this show to make it to the great white way, one of my favorite cast albums ever. And I think he will be great singing: " I AM UNWORHTY OF YOUR LOVE..."

I would really love to see NPH, but I fear Gibson. I saw her last year at North Shore as Velma, and it was truly terrifying. I don't think I can bare her butchering another one of my all-time fave Kander and Ebb roles...

Does anyone know how long her contract's for??

Hi everyone, my first post here!:)
I saw Cabaret at studio 54 with Alan Cummings and Jennifer Jason Leigh, and then I just went back last year and saw it again with John Stamos and Jane Leeves. I thought John Stamos was great, but Jane Leeves was disappointing for me. Besides that performance. the production seemed to be holding up quite well!

...they're planning to keep the show open as long as people keep coming.

broadway.com says that the next Sally is going to be Melina Kanakaredes (from Providence). That should be...interesting. She starts June 27.
Melinda Kanakaredes is the next Sally Bowles

#8Show is GOOD - Final Scene Still Blows Me Away

I saw the show in March with Neil Patrick Harris and Ms. Gibson. I enjoyed Mr. Harris very much. His voice is wonderful; especially in "I Don't Care Much". Ms. Gibson is adequate. (Better than Brooke Shields!!) The final scene is still stunning. What an AWESOME show. I think I've seen it about 6 times now.

yah, Neil Patrick was AWESOME in RENT in Los Angeles and La Jolla. I am lucky enough to have a vhs copy of "The Making of RENT Los Angeles cast" featuring Neil and Wilson Cruz and the rest of the cast.

Also don't miss Neil on SWEENEY TODD Dvd/cd with Patti LuPone and George Hearn either! He played Tobias! oh yah...

I really loved Neil as Tobias in Sweeney. Every time I watch my video, I giggle.
