#1How is the U.S. tour cast of "Mamma Mia!"
Posted: 10/21/08 at 2:29pmI am considering buying tickets for the U.S. tour of "Mamma Mia" for when the tour comes to my city in a few weeks. I would like to know how the U.S. tour cast is: what cast members are the highlights of the cast?

Posted: 10/21/08 at 2:56pmI have to say that one of my good friends, Anthony, is in the cast and has been for several years. They keep the cast's clean and tight, so this cast is very strong. I think if you have not seen the show before, then by all means, go and enjoy!!

I saw the tour last night, and thought I should post my thoughts about the show. First, Paul W.Thompson was right about Rose Sezniak, she did make you care about who was Sophie's father and agree that she does have good future in theater. For other who have seen the show, what other roles do yo see Rose in? Donna(Susie McMonagle) was great too, did anyone here see her in "Les Miserables?" Michelle Dawson(Tanya) and Kittra Wynn Coomer(Rosie) were hilarious. Robert J.Townsend was on as Sam, he had a strong voice, and I liked his interaction with Sophie and the emotional tention between Donna and him was very well done. Did anyone see him in "Miss Saigon?" I could see him playing Chris. Overall, the cast was very energentic.
Mamma Mia! had the funniest opening announement I have ever heard. I don't rememeber it word for word, but something like "for you nervious types-white spandex is used in this show."

The opening announcement ends with:
"We would like to warn audience members of a nervous disposition that platforms boots, and white spandex are featured in this production. Thank you."
:)
The current tour is in good shape.
