How to get Broadway Usher or Merchandise job?

Hey all,

I have been trying to get a job on Broadway either doing ushering or merchandise... I have tried many ways and it never seems to work. I def. have the resume to back these jobs, but does anyone have any idea who I should contact or what I should do in order to just begin to get my foot in the door with these kind of jobs.

I worked in merchandising at Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera for years. I just walked into to Imperial Theatre one day (where Les Mis played) and walked up to the counter and asked to speak to a manager. They pretty much hired me on the spot. My guess is that is has a lot to do with timing.

I actually just received a job as an usher for the Shubert Organization. It is a standard process, you go in for an interview, bring a resume, etc....
