I think that would be kinda hard! Would it be like The Lion King with the full body puppets??? How do you think they should or will do it???

The only way I can see it being somewhat feasible is with heavy prosthetics and Elphaba-esque make-up for Shrek. For Donkey, I see the same thing as a Doctor Dillamond style of make-up. And as for the dragon, I can definitely picture a more animated, cartoony version of the big Wicked dragon.
Yes, I realize those are all from Wicked, but shut up. :)
