I loved When Pigs Fly in its original run, oh so many years ago. Will it feel dated? Report back.
I wish i could recall more details, but it was 10 years and thousands of cosmos (plus assorted other goodies) ago.

I did this show in the fall of 2001, right on the heels of 9/11. The song "Laughing Matters" was so timely, so appropriate, audiences thought we had added it to the show in response to what was going on at the time. It gave a lot of emotional resonance to an otherwise frivolous, fun show. In fact, 9/11 occurred during our rehearsal period, and we were so stunned by what happened, I think we all wondered if we could/should continue, but decided to take the song's lyrics to heart and go on with the show.
On a lighter note, the show was costume change hell!
I've never had so many quick changes in my life. Very elaborate and hilarious costumes....but there was a different one for each number. Crazy!

Well, we were there last night. It was such a fun evening... a phenomenal group of performers. It's so funny... if anyone out there is going to be in Seattle in the next two weekends, you shouls definitely go see this show (note to the wiser: skip dinner and make cocktail reservations).
It's performed in quite a small space, not much wiggle room. The costumes were actually very creative... a pair of black pants, a white shirt... and a whole lot of accessories. Oh... they wore colered t-shirts for Act II. My favorite number was "You can't take the color out of Colorado". So funny... great act 1 finale. They did do some minor tweaking to the words, because it wasn't as dated, and figuring that Howard passed away in the mid-90's... some of the references were up to date (i.e. Rush Limbaugh & his drug "habit").
Sorry if I'm not giving a song by song review like some people do, but I was having too much fun watching the show.

Posted: 3/28/05 at 4:42amI'm from Seattle and have performed at Thumpers quite a bit. Love the space, though the smoke from the bar (and the dance music) can be a bit much sometimes. The one thing I'm not a fan of is that you get treated like crap from some of the waiters if you don't order food. I might be able to make it to the show. I trust David's review of the show (from talkinbroadway), so we'll see if I can get there.

RE: dinner... overpriced, under or overcooked average food. Worth getting treated like crap instead.
