I wonder if he is also taking the show to NYC.
Cool! Thanks for the info! Nice to see him getting back into the musical theater stuff.
I'm sort of hoping Hugh gets a shot at the role of Jean Valjean in the movie Cameron Macintosh wants to make of Les Miserables. I think he could pull it off. But maybe that's just me! :)

I join you in wanting Hugh to be offered the role of Jean Valjean in the film version -- he has the physicality, the legit voice, and the acting chops for the role of Valjean!
Re the show in SF, someone posted on ATC about a week or so ago that this might be a tryout --

There have also been some pure speculations that this might be a reprise of his one-man show ( called IN TIME) at a private one-night only performance at the inaugural of WynnLasVegas in early 2005. That was directed by George C. Wolfe and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall. His opening number for the 2005 TONYS which he hosted, called "Never Gonna Dance", was part of that one-man show.

Valjean or Javert would be great (Javert's "Stars" was Hugh's audition song early on). But it doesn't appear as though the Curran show is a redo of "In Time." This one is an evening of his favorite Broadway and film songs. I can't wait!!

It does look like this is going to be a brand new show as he has a different creative team, featuring two Broadway/West End names ( Warren Carlyle and Patrick Vaccariello) --

He also says that he might be returning to Broadway sometime soon. That's hopefully in HOUDINI - anyone know what's up with the show?
