A friend of mine who is working on the annual "Carols For A Cure" album has e-mailed me that Hugh Jackman will be participating this year. I don't know which carol he'll be singing, but my friend tells me that Jackman is a very sweet individual.

I think I've read about this somewhere -- he's supposed to be the lead vocal of THE BOY FROM OZ company singing the carol "Wrapped Up Nice" ( sorry, I am not familiar with this song).
Also, it will will be available at all Broadway shows from October 24th to December 8th and in select NY stores. Isn't this a project of Broadway Cares ?

Well, me thinks I will be getting this album anyway...but I must say I do not know the song either.

No problem -- we're twelve hours ahead in our time zone.
So I hope to relish reading your Ohs and Ahs ( I'm pre-judging the show
) around early to mid-afternoon here!

On a semi-related note, I have a video clip of Jackman singing 'Bethlehem Morning' back in 1997 at Carols by Candlelight in Australia. They made a studio album of it as well and I have that clip too. Overall I think his studio performance is a little better but live he chose to belt out a G# which is just thrilling, which he follows up with a soft falsetto finish. But both versions are enjoyable.
"my friend tells me that Jackman is a very sweet individual."
Yeah He looks sweet! I would love to meet him. I watched a TV special thingy on him and he sang and I must say, his voice is REALLY nice!!

Christine,
Girls your age shouldn't be watching men's "thingy's". It's not appropriate at all.
"thingy" was meant as a show you loser
Dolly....you are hysterical, and I get it even if she didn't!
Christine...If you're going to put a word like "thingy" out there then expect the falic funnies to fly.

Christine, if you meant to say "show", you should have written "show". This whole "thingy" thing is hitting below the waist.
Now, let's not stoop to name calling, Little Girl!!!!!!!
I said "TV special thingy" I would think you guys could use your brains and understand what I'm talking about.
"Now, let's not stoop to name calling, Little Girl!!!!!!! "
Dolly- even though your old, you need to learn your manners all over again thats if you learned them in the first place.

In the spirit of Christmas, can we stop the argument?
And why can't Hugh sing any Kwanza songs?
Don't let Sharpton hear about this!

Oh, so now Christine is implying that Hugh has a "special thingy" just for TV. Perhaps he has a whole collection of "thingies": maybe even one made of gold lame for the holidays. The possibilities are endless!
Christine, I can't wait to meet you at the Flea Market. You'll be wearing your taffeta Cinderella gown from DisneyWorld, right? That gown, worn in conjunction with your Reebocks should make you easy to spot. Since I'm a bona fide fairy, I guess I'll bring my wand. All I'll have to do is wave it over your head and you'll finally turn into something useful--like a doorstop.

The CAROLS FOR A CURE album is supposed to be one of the best they've done so far.
Dolly- Have you ever heard: "Act your age and not your shoe size"?? I got it from one of my favorite TV shows and clearly it applys to you. Seriously, act your age. If the people on this thread or even message board think your "Hysterical", "funny", and even "smart" then that's just sad & pathetic.
I'll be at the flea market, but don't worry I won't be hanging out with any "bona fide fairy's" and when I see one I'll know it's you.
"In the spirit of Christmas, can we stop the argument?" I totally agree but Dolly doesn't understand the word STOP.

I agree with you Christine, but you just proved you do not know what stop means, either. Just ignore him. That will stop the whole argument. No matter if you are extremely angry, just let it go.
Hey bwaytheatre-
No, I'm not angry, I just wanted to prove my point.
Doesn't "act your age not your shoe size" come from the Prince song "Kiss"

Christine,
Your most recent posting on this thread is nothing short of biased and homophobic. It's because of people like you that Matthew Sheppard died on a fence in Laramie, Wyoming. Take a good look at yourself, Little Girl. You are a bigot and so full of prejudice that it scares me. Do your parents know what kind of hateful child they are rearing?
Hateful? Calling someone else "hateful"?
Hmmmmm......mirror time.

Yes, HATEFUL. When a person's sexual orientation is attacked, it's an act of hate. The laws of New York State will attest to this.
I'm not a hateful person. Snide, definitely. Learn the difference.
No, you are a HATEFUL person Dolly!!! I wasn't making fun of your sexual preference or anyone elses. Yes, what I said might have been mean but I'm tired of the comments you are saying about me. "All I'll have to do is wave it over your head and you'll finally turn into something useful--like a doorstop." Was that right to say? Am I not suppose to get annoyed at that??
Lets end it.

Turning someone into a useful doorstop is not the same as avoiding fairies, which is a common name for those of us who are homosexual. Christine, I can only hope that when your time comes to have children, every single one of them is either gay or lesbian.
Quite frankly, I think you'd make a good doorstop.
