Hugh Jackman isn't too old for anything. I think he could play a college student in a movie and everyone would still see it and love it. I know I still would. haha

Hey, I've watched some godawful movies for Jackman's sake. (Swordfish, anyone? Dear lord.) But Carousel is a great property and deserves some regard in how it's treated - and Billy Bigelow is a tough enough character to like without making him over 30. His general abusive asshattitude is at least more tolerable if he has the "young and stupid" excuse. A 30 or 40-something Billy beating a Julie played by someone as young as Anne Hathaway is just too awful.
