Ths is something I found on YouTube. It's absolutely beautiful. (I want to add that I have never actually cried about a musical online until this one... especially when they reprise "Someday" about half way through... if you know the story, and really pay attention to the lyrics... it will melt your heart) It's the finale to the Berlin production of Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. I didn't know if anyone else had seen this and I just wanted to share it. I would kill to bring this to the states! Do you think Disney is hesitant because it's a little too dark for American audiences? Thoughts?

I have the german production.
If Beauty and the beast, Little Mermaid, Lion King....are spectacular (I love them, in my opinion, the bests musicals in broadway), Hunchback is the best score I've ever hear in my life

Yeeees, =) I like kissing avatars and Sierra and Sean are adorable!
Back to Hunchback, I think it would rock if Quasi carried Esmeralda though the audience at the end rather than carrying her around stage.

[off topic] But Are they a couple? jajaja, fairy tale come true XDD.
Back to Hunchback, I want Disney keep the tragic ending and not the film ending (altough is a beautiful ending too)

I have seen that whole video that clip is from. Beautiful production! Gave me goosebumps! I do believe, no matter what they've said, Disney will bring it to a Broadway stage.

I think Disney will bring ALADDÍN (there are rumors) and HUNCHBACK, but later.
Now there are three disney shows, Lion King, Mary Poppins and Little mermaid.
Perhaps Lion King will end the next years and will come Hunchback

I think either LION KING or POPPINS will close around the spring of '09, then HUNCHBCK will take the Minskoff (or the NewAmst). As far as casting goes? I'm tossing around Terrence Mann or Michael Cerveris as Frollo, aaannnd, Gary Beach as Clopin. Juuust my two cents, though.

Posted: 1/19/08 at 7:25pmYes, but emma, LION KING is a HUUUUUGE hit (and has been since day `), whereas, POPPINS doesn't really carry the 'oomph' the folks over on Pride Rock do (if you know what I mean).

Posted: 1/19/08 at 7:57pmI thought it should've ended with closing on Quasimodo holding Esmeralda, but I do love that "bells of Notre Dame!!!!!!"
