In the OBC recording of The Secret Garden the arrangement differs from that of the script. In the show, Albert begins the song as a goodnight to Mary. Its actually quite beautiful. On the cd, Albert ends the song and the ending is w/o the chorus singing, "I AM LOST!!!" Anybody know why they changed it or see the show and remember???

I saw this show when I was in 5th grade so I could be wrong, but I don't know why they changed it. But I think that in the production I saw it I think that it began with "Goodnight Mary" or whatever. I'm pretty sure that's the way it was. Maybe they added it later or something. I know a person who was in it and they might know.

When the national tour went out, there were some minor musical and textual changes made which were then incorporated into the liscenced version. The end of I Heard Someone Crying is the most notable of these.

What does "Someon" mean? Is that the name of a person?

"What the hell happened to you? You look like a Make-A-Wish Kid. You know, I just knew you were gonna bring shame on this new family of ours, and it just figures you had to go make yourself over into some heroin-shootin skate board chic on the only day E! could interview you!" - Cherry Cherry, on her daughter Mary Cherry

No someone isn't the name of a person. It refers to when Mary lives in the manor and the first night she's there she hears someone crying in the dark and in the musical she says "I heard someone crying".

Actually most of the changes were being made after the Broadway show opened. The tour was reflective of the final changes on Broadway.
