I Heard Someon Crying

Posted: 12/6/04 at 6:52pmIn the OBC recording of The Secret Garden the arrangement differs from that of the script. In the show, Albert begins the song as a goodnight to Mary. Its actually quite beautiful. On the cd, Albert ends the song and the ending is w/o the chorus singing, "I AM LOST!!!" Anybody know why they changed it or see the show and remember???

Posted: 12/6/04 at 7:02pmI saw this show when I was in 5th grade so I could be wrong, but I don't know why they changed it. But I think that in the production I saw it I think that it began with "Goodnight Mary" or whatever. I'm pretty sure that's the way it was. Maybe they added it later or something. I know a person who was in it and they might know.

Posted: 12/6/04 at 7:10pmWhen the national tour went out, there were some minor musical and textual changes made which were then incorporated into the liscenced version. The end of I Heard Someone Crying is the most notable of these.

Posted: 12/6/04 at 10:12pmWhat does "Someon" mean? Is that the name of a person?
re: I Heard Someon Crying#6
Posted: 12/7/04 at 10:24amNo someone isn't the name of a person. It refers to when Mary lives in the manor and the first night she's there she hears someone crying in the dark and in the musical she says "I heard someone crying".
