I LOVE ALICE RIPLEY!

I just have to say that I think Alice Ripley is a total goddess. She should be doing so much more!

Roles I'd love to see Alice in:

Amneris in AIDA (she'd be so FIERCE)
Audrey in Little Shop (sad...but I bet Kerry will be great)
Cathy in Last Five Years
Daisy in Side Show (I know...I know...but I didn't see it!)

Anyway...anyone know what she's up to?

All I know is, she would make a great Millie if they would bring back Gavin. And a great Ursula in Bye, Bye Birdie, with Gavin as Birdie.

What I would really like somebody to do is to write a musical based on the life of our most recent great President, Ronald Reagan. Alice would be a fantastic Nancy, and it would be just what this country needs right now: a return to traditional musical theater values.

Uh...I didn't say anything about his politics. I just think he'd make a bad musical.

I mean HELLO!!! The Kennedy era and the Camelot connection??? Come on! Why isn't Jason Robert Brown writing this??

I can read between the lines, my bleeding-heart friend... Camelot, scam-a-lot! Gimme Reagan and a musical with REAL MEN, the glory days of Trickle Down and doing it for The Gipper.

Great title: "Morning in America." If you loved your country, you'd want Alice to be the greatest first lady (and not that harridan Hilary Clinton), Nancy Reagan.

Wow, I love Alice, too. She'd totally rock in a revival of MY FAIR LADY. Aren't they talking about bringing that over from London, starring that guy that was in JUMPIN' JACK FLASH? He's so kewl.

Wow, speaking of MY FAIR LADY, wouldn't it be weird to see someone like Melissa Jarrett Winkour as "Eliza"? LOL No disrespect to her or other big people...but it would be totally funny to see people cast in roles that you wouldn't think them right for. Melissa would be good, I betcha.

Onto more important things, I would love to see Alice in My Fair Lady. I don't know the show all that well, so it would make me so happy to see her in it.

I don't really like Marissa that much. She was good in Hairspray, I just can't see her doing anything else. Maybe Madame Thenardier.

I could see Marissa as Effie in the Dreamgirls revival but the P.C. Police would never allow that to happen. Come to think of it, Alice would make a great Deena. Ditto.

Some one loves Gavin.

Don't get me wrong, I adore Gavin to death, he is a very talented performer, VERY attractive, and a sweetheart to boot, but Birdie?? I don't see it.

I agree with Daisy. She would be awful as Amneris and Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde. I also would have loved for her to stay with Little Shop, but Thank God they got Kerry! And I also think she would make a great Mary Poppins. Eliza in My Fair Lady could work, as well. I am also an obvious Gavin fan. I'm sorry, but Birdie is not a role for him.

I'd much rather see her as Penny than Hope... Alice is fast approaching 40, and even though she doesn't look it... I think she lacks that naivety that Hope needs. She's too mature for the role.

I really want to play Hope though!! She can play Penny to my Hope. It'll be fun. :) She'd kick at "Privilege to Pee!"

1st I still think Alice kicked ass as Audrey, That's my first statment..She made me cried.
2nd.... She is doing a play in DC called Shakespeare in Love in DC this September..
3rd....Oh my F*CKing God.. How can you just switch the roles from her being Violet to Daisy... I think that's kind of absurd. And pointless.. It was an OBC.....

Roles I would like to see Alice in...
At one point I said Amneris.. but nah.. I changed my mind..
She would have made a kick ass Maureen in Rent if it were made earlier ...
I still like the idea of her in Evita as Eva..
And omg Bethany... I agree about her as Eliza in MFL..
And she does need to tackle more greater roles.. And I think she should go on tour with Lalapalooza( lmao) J/K...
should definitly record more albulms..Her solo work is brilliant...

Alice is awsome! I love her so much. I can't wait to see her in NY in a few years. Her and Shannon are the best. She's the best cuz someone could ask for. lol.
