Just saw this play tonight, early preview. I loved it. This is the best play I've seen in so long. And it's incorporation of deaf culture is amazing and about time, I'd say. It's a devastating story about trying to hold onto faith when life keeps heaping great challenges upon you. I kept thinking that this is the play that says the most about America right now. The increasing divide caused by our inability to communicate; the opiod crisis; the disintegration of family; adopting dogma just to feel like one belongs....I'm so heartened by this play. My friends gushed about the play, too. And the audience leapt to their feet as soon as the lights went out. I just had to share. I felt so much truth in the writing. And it was refreshing to have to learn to receive story through another language. I think this play is so generous and has such heart. Well, anyway. I just was so moved. Thanks.
