The Australian Television network Ten, is about to start work on a new search for a triple threat to take over the lead in Priscilla in New York.

So guessing this must be moving into a smaller theatre, rather than closing later this year!

How would this help the NYC show in terms of publicity if only Australians will watch it. Seems odd to me

Yeah, seen=ms very odd, ssince the show itself isn't selling that well even with Tony Sheldon in place.

Someone in the company told me that no-one is being replaced, and that it's all about the audition and casting process. The winner will work with the Broadway team, but they won't take anyone's role. Apparently the format is being trialled as a promotional tool for future international productions.

I think they are pulling a Blonde on us. Remember, Legally Blonde did a reality show right before they closed to draw more attention to an almost closed show. By open closed I mean not selling enough seats.

But why are they doing it in Australia? Of course the muiscal takes place there but the show is in NY in the U.S. Is it going to be airing over here too? i don't see how this would help get people to see the show.
