Audra McDonald's next CD, Build a Bridge, will include a recording of "Dividing Day" from The Light in the Piazza. Such a beautiful voice to sing that gorgeous song. Can't wait! The CD is on Nonesuch, out in September.

I am so looking forward to hearing Audra perform from her new CD at Lenape PAC, Marlton, NJ on 8/12. I've put in for an interview with her reps. Waiting to here back.

I've heard her do the song, and while she does it well, it's a VERY different arrangement from the one used in the show..it's super SLOWWWW. I definitely preferred the show orchestration to the one she used.

Have heard the track (album in release in England)...somewhat disappointing, alas. Nothing can compare with the way it was originally done. She does a slightly more "pop" version.
