She is the most beautiful, most gracious, sweetest person ever! I waited for a while, but the man at the stage door counter thing, in the inside, was SO sweet! He kept calling her dressing room just to make sure I hadn't missed her, and he complimented my mother on her accent, invited us to stay inside to wait instead of outside... it was wonderful!
Just thought I'd share.

THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! you are sooo lucky!! anymore details you have to share about meeting erin? also, around what time did you wait by the stage door and how many people were waiting?
WOAH massive love! Cool!!
Well, I didn't wait till after the show, seeing as how the show tonight was 8, so I went before to catch her on her way in. I got to the theatre around 6:30, and people kept coming in and out, I was like "AH WHO ARE YOU IN THE SHOW!" No, I didn't actually say that, I thought it though lol. I was on the constant lookout for Erin that I even missed Marc Kudisch on his way in! My mom was the one who poked me and told me that he had just went in. Ah well. So, this guy, Bill I beleive his name was, at the counter, the really nice one, he waved me inside, and he asked who I was waiting for. I told him and he thought it was sweet I was waiting for her. So he told me I should stay inside rather than out, which was fine with me!
So you know, the children come in, the other actors come in (no Raul dammit!) and it was really cool. All this time Bill is calling down to make sure that I didn't miss Erin. He was a strong supporter of the cause .
So she finally comes in at..hmm I dunno like 7:15, around there and Bill said, "Oh here she is! Erin, this young lady has been waiting about 40 minutes for you!" and she smiled and looked so touch it was cool! So:
E: Oh that's so sweet!! ::signs playbill::
Me: I saw the show last Saturday. You were amazing! And I have your Babes in Arms recording..so great!
E: Oh thank you so much!!!!
M: By the way, I'm a voice student of Diana Canova-
E: DIANA!!! OOOOH MY GOSH!
M: She says she loves you and she still has your wedding present and she can't wait to see the show!
E: OOOOOH! Tell her, please, that I love her too! Oh, if I had known you were coming I would have come early and given you a tour. I'm sorry, I can't now though, I have to get ready.
M: Oh that's not a problem! Thank you for the thought, I should be going anyway. It was such an honor meeting you!
E: OOOH! And what is your name?
M:Tiffany
E:Tiffany it was nice meeting you!
M: Oh you too! Have a great show!
E: Thanks sweetie!
and then my lovely day ended lovlier.
Oh and I was the only one waiting Wicked4Lyfe

Aww, that's sweet. She seems like an incredibly nice and down-to-earth person. Glad you had a good experience.
She's really sweet.
I met her last week! SHe is really nice. She took pictures with all of us and we talked about Maryland because she did a show at the Olney theater(in MD). My friend loves her now because Erin DIlly complimented her necklace.
I think my picture with her is in the fan photos

Out of all the people I've met at the stage door ever, meeting Erin Dilly is by far one of my favorite experiences. She is the sweetest lady ever. There were so many people at the Chitty stage door, and she took the time to compliment me on my earrings and chat a little. The Tonys were the next day, so I told her good luck and everything, and she was so genuinely appreciative. When someone else asked her for an autograph, she took my hand and said "It's so nice to meet you." and went over to them.
It was just a really nice experience. When she left, the yelled out to everyone "Watch the Tonys tomorrow!" It was cute.
Wow...Sally, I knew Sally wasn't your real name but it's just something I always call you and makes me associate it with your name...just saw the Tiffany and I was really confused...haha.
What an awesome story. Erin Dilly seems like the person you could easily become friends with.

Blair- she took my hand too! IT just made everything sweeter.
I really love when actors shake your hand. It's such a tiny gesture, but it's special. Yeah, I'm a sap.

I thought that she was hilarious on the lunch with the Tony nominees and everything. She is simply hilarious.
emcee- I was SMEEEEEEE close to meeting Raul. They have to be at the theatre by 7:30 and it was like 7:25 and my dad me go home. SOO CLOSE. it killed me! Bill was calling down to his dressing room too to make sure I didn't miss him.
But meeting Erin was worth it all
How sad! He's one of the nicest people on the planet.
::cries:: This fight is not over. I will return!
And you shall meet him and it will be lovely!
I thank you for your faith.
Awww..that's fantastic! so happy for you!
Aw thanks!
For you, Sally!

Oh yup, that's Bill! He's the sweetest middle-aged man ever! I heart him. And yes, Erin is gracious. And I think she was very gracious about the Tony's because she knew she had NO chance, and I'm not saying that to be mean, I'm just saying what everyone was thinking. She's always in the Chitty store, so I always get to talk to her, but dear lord, she needs a hamburger!
And oh, for anyone going to the Chitty stage door to meet Raul, it most likely won't happen. He goes out a different door most of the time.
oooh. I am currently a very, very big fan of Bill. (and about Raúl - argh. That's new, and sad. I understand why, but I'm glad I caught him when he was still coming out, then.)
